When to post on Instagram

Connecting with clients through social media should be an important part of your marketing strategy. Whether it’s showing off Before/After photos, sharing information about products, new services, or special offers, platforms like Instagram let you get in front of people easily and quickly.

There are several keys to making these outlets working for you, and one of them is making sure you get the most views on your posts. This can be done through “Boosting” posts or paying for ads, but a FREE method is simply finding out when you audience is online and posting during these active times.

On Instagram, you can easily find this information by checking out your “Insights”. To do this:

  1. Click on the account info symbol in the top right corner - it looks like 3 horizontal lines.

  2. Choose “Insights” from the Menu.

  3. Choose “Last 30 Days” from the drop down to see info on your visitor engagement over the last month.

  4. Under the “Overview” Heading, click on “Total Followers”.

  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you’ll see “Most Active Times”.

If you click on the chart, it will show you how many of your followers were on the app at a given time. Use this information to schedule your posts (I recommend the free app in Facebook for this) during the busiest times and watch your engagement sore!

Of course, there is a lot more to a successful Social Media Marketing (SMM) strategy, but this simple tip is a great place to start!
